I found two White Ibis at Lake Horton (Fayette County) on Dec 16 which have continued as of after Christmas.
The lake was at quite a low level creating favorable conditions for ibis.
This may represent the first winter record for White Ibis in Piedmont.
Other species of note included: Common Ground-dove, Marsh Wren, Great Egrets, Dunlin, Canvasback, Greater
Scaup, and a possible Spotted Towhee.
