Rare Ducks for Summer

Here is a very rare summer sighting of a GADWALL at Big Lazar WMA (piedmont) on July 13, 2007. Found and photoed by Michael Beohm.

I believe there are only about five summer records for this species in GA.

I found and photoed one last summer at Lake Seminole, GA.

I found this American Black Duck on 6/22 at E. L. Huie.

Black Duck x Mallard Hybrid, one of two I found at E. L. Huie in May. They continue in July.

I found this female Northern Pintail at E. L. Huie in Summer, 2006.
