Dec 4, 2013, I found a juvenile plumaged BLACK-LEGGED KITTIWAKE at Lake Hartwell, GA. More photos
of similar quality. The bird was fairly close, but it was cloudy and foggy outside, so photo quality suffered.
However, the diagnostic field marks of the contrasting plumage still showed well in the photos. Interestingly, I also
found one at this site on an early date of Nov 7, 2012. It was a first winter as is what is typically found, however,
I have found an adult before at West Point Dam.
