I like West Point Lake. However, it gets covered fairly well, so I usually don't bird it much. It is one
of the best lakes for gulls because they can be easily seen out on the boom. Michael and I have discovered a handful
of goodies at this lake including most of the gulls that can be seen. At one point Laughing Gull, American White Pelican,
and Red-throated Loon were almost a given. I believe Michael was the first to document the annual presence of Common
Goldeneye at this lake. His records go back over 20 years.
