I kind of feel like Michael and I put this place on the map, literally. Because when I started birding it, it was
not on the maps. All I knew was that it was a new reservoir about thirty minutes from my place. We had a ton of
stuff, lots of ducks, and lots of fun!
Favorites (interestingly from about a one year period around 2002):
Yellow-billed Loon
Pacific Loon
Ross's Geese (about 10 total)
Mute Swans (appearing wild)
Cave Swallow
Scoters and rare ducks
Then the county instituted a $10 parking fee and that ended that.
