I found this Lincoln's Sparrow in my yard on April 24, 2006. The bird was beside my creek in a muddy area overgrown
with ferns. The bird stayed in the shadows, so it was quite difficult to photograph. I spent a full hour
trying to get a good photo.
Lincoln's Sparrows are basically considered rare in Georgia and are mainly seen in a few expected spots in the fall.
This is the third one I've found in my yard.
This bird sang it's song a few times though it did not sing it loudly. It also gave it's somewhat distinctive buzzy
flight call once when it initially flew away.
