Distinctly shaped with a length over three feet long, and a wingspan over seven feet.  Frigates are amazing birds to see!  Though they are very hard to find in Georgia.  The effort spent is worth it though once you see one in command of the sky.

Michael Beohm and I discovered at least 8 Magnificent Frigatebirds while birding the southwest corner of Georgia on 7/11/2005 following the hurricane in Alabama.
We found six at Lake Seminole and two at Lake Walter F. George.  The birds were seen on the Georgia side of the lakes but also crossed the state lines at times.
We spent a very long time trying to photograph these birds since a sighting like this is pretty much a first for Georgia.  I believe Michael's photos will turn out as good as these, if not better.  I will include his photos when I get a chance.
